The 1% Love Share Project is a unique campaign initiated by Women's Federation for World Peace International to eradicate poverty through the donation of even 1% of your income per month to those less fortunate around the globe, especially women and children.

Why is this project unique? Simply put, because it targets the needs of the human family. And as members of the human family, it is up to us to look across boundaries and borders and to send our love to those suffering, hungry, and in need.

The project began in 2002 with the donation of 30,000 pairs of underwear to children in North Korea through the Korean Women Leader's Association. Since 2002, WFWP International has sent out over $335,000 in the form of emergency food aid, primary school construction, medical supplies, clothing, and much more.

In recent years, this fund has supported:

  • Children in North Korea with $4,500 collected by WFWP USA for coats and sweaters after the extensive flooding in the winter season (2016)

  • Haiti with $4,214* to earthquake damaged areas. (2010)

  • North Korean women with $55,168* for sewing machines through the Coalition for the North Korean Women's Rights. (2010)

  • Japan with $10,000* to WFWP Japan, to aid the victims of the East Japan earthquake. (2011)

  • Children in the Gaza Strip with $9,451* worth of medical supplies and mattresses through the F.M. Children's Relief Foundation. (2012 and 2014)

  • A school in Geumgang for children of North Korean defectors with $3,545* in clothes. (2013)

  • The Philippines with $22,052* for typhoon victims. (2014)
