WOMAN TO WOMAN APPRECIATION DAY

WFWP Montreal had the wonderful privilege of hosting ladies from Vancouver, Toronto, and Ottawa to celebrate "Woman to Woman Appreciation Day" on December 10, 2011. They invited WFWP USA President Angelika Selle to be their keynote speaker. Mrs. Selle gave an inspiring talk on spirituality and healing entitled "Tune In to Tune Up."

WFWP Montreal Chairwoman Sandra Cusson shared, "We also were deeply impressed and inspired by her presentation of the development of WFWP USA, which she titled 'Deeper and Wider.' All could receive a clear understanding of God's desire for women and the role of WFWP."

Following Mrs. Selle's presentations, participants received intriguing insights on the spirituality and dignity of women from guest speaker Bahi Krishnakhanthan.

Lively and engaging discussion groups were formed after each presentation in which each woman shared her insights and inspirations. Indeed, it was a time of learning and self-discovery. Wonderful singing entertainment was provided by Christina Tadin, and Sisters Ruth and Tamami Tamale.

Later in the evening, all ladies were sincerely acknowledged for their contributions to WFWP in a moving certificate ceremony presented by WFWP Canada President Lilly Tadin, Sandra Cusson, Vancouver Chairwoman Yukie McHale, and National Treasurer/Secretary Blandine Stringer.

The evening closed with the cutting of a celebration cake, learning a Rwandan dance, and karaoke.

Many ladies challenged themselves to drive hours on a rainy, slushy day, or to drive early Saturday morning, and Yukie McHale patiently waited in the airport past her midnight arrival. The acceptance of those challenges is a testimony to the great faith and determination of the women of the Canadian WFWP family. Their desire in the first place to come together in Montreal was the spark to "get the ball rolling."

Several Montreal families enjoyed hosting their out-of-town women friends in their homes. The Montreal community's spirit of cooperation and love truly allowed this event to be a wonderful experience.

Franco and Chizuru Famularo, the Quebec Unification Church regional leaders, were such gracious hosts to Mrs. Selle, and invited her to treat Montreal to a wonderful Sunday sermon.

The ladies of Montreal willingly worked so hard in too many ways to be able to mention, beyond preparing great food and a marathon translation from English to French by Isabelle Laurin. With the love and support of their husbands, the wives were highly encouraged to attend. Also, there was the support of four young men who provided babysitting, which allowed several women to attend and completely enjoy the event.

"Angelika's visit," Tadin states, "was so inspiring and uplifting. As we head into the last few weeks of this year, her visit helped us create a stronger attitude of believing that we can do more than we ever felt before. Her inspiring words have given everyone the courage and determination to give all that we can in 2012."

Mrs. Selle remarked that her reception in Canada was one of the best she has experienced, and she looks forward to returning one day. It was her first time in Canada, and, she says, she surely was "hooked" by the True North. WFWP Canada thanks her for contributing to a "new beginning." Through this inspirational and warm-hearted event, four guests are preparing to sign membership.

This visit was a great beginning for WFWP Canada and WFWP USA to work together toward unity between the Americas.
